VIPPIG children's seesaw
VIPPIG is a children's seesaw designed by Martin F Rosquist, formed from bent birch veneer under a clear acrylic lacquer. IKEA placed it in its play furniture range and described the rocking motion as a way to develop a child's sense of balance and help the brain sort sensory impressions. It was recommended for children three years and older, meant to stand on a soft base such as a rug to avoid scratch marks, and wiped clean with a mild soapy solution. Seat height is 31 cm. The seesaw sold on ikea.com from 2007 at 49.99 dollars and left the range around 2012. Its dating rests on IKEA's own archived product page for article 300.899.15, captured in September 2007.
